Nathan leads the quantitative analyst team who model and produce thoroughbred racing probabilities, which underpin RACELAB’s form and pricing products. He focuses on improving the quality of analytics and ensures that outputs continue to evolve with the changing market conditions. Nathan works closely with the management team, to ensure data quality and integrity consistently matches RACELAB’s exacting standards.
Prior to coming to RACELAB, Nathan had five years experience as a form analyst at a major corporate bookmaker. He has also worked in several other industries, enabling him to bring a wide range of knowledge to RACELAB. Nathan’s specialised experience allows him to understand bookmaker requirements and formulate data-driven solutions for their business challenges.
“Working in horse racing is my passion. With RACELAB there is something different to do every day, and in an industry that I love working in. Thoroughbred racing, and bookmaking is an ever-evolving industry, for example certain aspects that were undervalued in the market a year ago are now forefront in client’s minds. The game is always moving, so we have to chase new ideas and adapt to the market needs.”
