Matt’s role as the manager for Product and Operations covers a wide range of duties, from overseeing the activities and outputs of the operations team (Australian and Philippines-based units), training and supporting new staff and writing product manuals. He has a key responsibility working on the development and maintenance of RACELAB’s product line, including informatics (ProFORM individual runner comments and race verdicts) and Odds Engine (RACELAB’s fixed odds pricing service).
Matt’s leadership strength and background in mathematics and analytics, combine with over five years of management experience across wagering operations and analytical services. A key part of Matt’s role is to identify product improvements, particularly in the quantitative areas of predictive modelling and pre-race probabilities. He works with the team evaluating individual performance factors, adjusting model design and overseeing the implementation of enhancements that improve the accuracy and performance of RACELAB’s products. Matt listens to client’s feedback to ensure that any changes reflect the marketplace.
